You Put Your Left Foot In

Was just reading Pat Buchanan's latest article. He makes a very good case that should give Americans of either political persuasion reason to pause before pulling that lever.

He puts forth the case that if the recent spate of polls are accurate, the American people are about to be subjected to the most far left Federal Government that anyone could imagine. Some say even farther to the left than FDR's administration. And that is saying something. A lot of people are still around from that time period even if most of those were just children or teenagers at most.

During the 2000 election my 70 something neighbor and I were talking politics. The race was between Bush and Gore of course and while I ended up voting third party, I could not for the life of me understand his rational for voting for Gore. He stated sheepishly that he was voting for Gore for no other reason than that he was a Democrat. Period. Yet he couldn't stand Gore and thought that he would be a disastrous president. I kid you not. No matter what the argument though, he was a Democrat because of FDR. And by God he felt he owed FDR. His generation grew up in some very hard times. Times that only those that lived through it could even begin to understand the austerity of a Great Depression. I've met a lot of older people my parents age who think the same way about FDR. Those of the "Greatest Generation" look fondly on a time when the Federal government was completely controlled by Democrats.

There have been many more years that the government is 'divided'. In that the congress, or one house of it, were controlled by a different party than the Presidency. Such a division of power hasn't really turned out all that well for the people over the last several decades. It seems that the Democrats and Republicans will find a way to pass the legislation that the government wants passed no matter what and usually legislation that benefits the people gets blocked time after time unless the people raise a big enough ruckus as in the case of the McCain backed Immigration bill. And more recently the Wall Street Bailout. In either case, many Congress people should lose their jobs over these votes alone. But chances are better than even that they will still be in office in January 2009.

So let's presume that trends will remain static and Israel doesn't attack before the election. Obama is the president and the Congress has veto proof majorities. If the Republicans are so terrified, and want to terrify the People into voting for them to ward off this evil; why doesn't a Republican President sign or revoke some executive orders to at least attempt to shield the American public from the horrors? Is that allowed? The Presidents certainly aren't shy about Executive Orders are they? Certainly not, below is a list of recent presidents and the number of EO's each:

Recent presidents:
GW Bush 268, so far
Clinton 363
G. Bush 165
Reagan 380
Carter 319
Ford 168
Nixon 345
Johnson 323
Kennedy 213
Eisenhower 481
Truman 893
FD Roosevelt 3,466

So President Bush, we're nearing the end of your time in office and you are faced with living in a country that, polls show, loathes you. Read some blogs, read some newspapers, for God's sake read something and realize that you have so alienated your party and base that the Democrats are a shoo-in. And that scares many in your party and on the radio talk shows.
What do you do to protect the people? Do you rescind a couple dozen Executive Orders that allegedly enact Martial Law on the Republic at large? No? Okay how about closing up some of the more onerous Federal Alphabet agencies? Oh sure, the next guy will probably re-authorize these things but in the months that it would take, the People might realize that they didn't need that agency after all. How about disarming the Park Rangers and put them back to looking out for bears and picnic baskets instead of 'enforcing' the law. How about telling the boys in the military that there are dozens of countries around the world that haven't been involved in a war for many years and that you 'want to give that a try'? Some of those countries are even rumored to be 'civilized'. Perhaps just as a prank, President Bush could recall as many troops as possible before January 2009.

Barring a sudden pang of conscience on the part of the current Administration, the next party in power will have such tools as Torture, surveillance, and at least one war, just to name a few in it's tool box. To top it off , other good news for the Democrats is that President Bush's administration has invented a perpetual motion machine. And it prints money! These are powerful tools and none of them seem to be in any danger of going away before the Democrats take over.

This election season has lasted for longer than any other campaign in history and it shows. But I think there is a little apprehension behind the elation of 'turning the page' on this administration. Some realize all the danger the next four to eight years can hold yet we're hopeful for the promise. The promise of an America that begins to care more for America. A country that doesn't feel the need to involve ourselves in other countries affairs. If Liechenstein and Zimbabwe have a diasagreement, so what? How about we mind our own business for a while. We're hopeful for a Country that begins to spend more on bettering the health and well being of its own citizens before killing the innocent citizens in a country we can't find on a map. I've heard it said that War is how American's learn geography. Well, I'm tired of learning geography. The governments education system has made sure that I know where Japan is, where Germany is, Korea, Viet Nam, Grenada, Lebanon, Iraq, Panama Canal, Iran, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq again, et al, etc.

Pat Buchanan and others are blowing the trumpet of warning of a Left of Center 'take-over of the Federal Government. My question to them, is: Can they be any worse?

Buying Foreign Currency

As I write this the US Dollar is fluctuating up and down within a few tenths of a point either way. A little up, a little down despite the wild gyrations of Wall Street.

Many experts continue to push for Americans to buy Gold and/or Silver and that is sound advice. Advice I have taken heed to and invest in when the time seems right and my supplier actually has metal to sell. Believe it or not, precious metals at any price have been hard to find the last few weeks and no one really knows why. You'd think that when it was at a thousand per ounce for gold and twenty an ounce for silver it would be easy to find. But it wasn't. Now that the prices are way off of their highs again you'd think that people would be selling into the dip not knowing where the bottom was and not wanting to take a chance anymore. Besides the dollar looks strong so why not get back into the stock market since it is so cheap?

Nothing could be more disastrous than buying back into the stock market right now in my opinion. Anyone getting back into stocks is playing into the Ponzi scheme and just does not understand the mechanisms by which the hucksters are going to fleece you all for one final time before the absolute end of the US dollar hits this country like nothing you could imagine. Two to three TRILLION dollars has already been sucked out of your retirement account, your investment account and even your bank account without the average Joe even realizing. They, and by they I mean those that work in these brokerage houses, have sold you speculation while in the meantime, they themselves don't invest in these things. They skim their money off of the top of whatever profit they claim you have made and by the fee's they charge on each and every transaction on each and every account. Why invest when they can sell to the suckers and skim off the top?

At this point in the cascading failure of the American financial system. I recently found a website where people can purchase actual foreign currency. It is an American Express website that anyone can use to buy foreign currency, travelers checks, among other things. When precious metals aren't available, having some type of foreign currency on hand may not be a bad thing. It might also be a good idea to 'invest' in a long range food plan as well. Visit 'Be Prepared.com' for some ideas on preparedness and supplies.

My Monkey

Oh when I see my monkey strugglin'

And he's got three golf balls in his hand

I know he's seen another monkey jugglin'

And it's not working out the way he planned.

Oh do rah day

Oh do rah do

My monkey thinks he can juggle too.

Euphoric Maverick Blues

We can all be thankful that this very long and very tedious election season will be over soon. It can't come soon enough for the Republicrowd though.

They began their season with a determination that whoever they put up would have the very formidable task of defeating another Clinton for the top prize in an election that was admittedly an uphill battle due to the unpopularity of 'W'. Rudy Giuliani seemed to be 'the Man' in the beginning but his one trick pony show became tedious and even the Republicans got sick of that mantra. Besides that, the realization that a true Conservative, in the vein of Reagan, cannot get elected in New York City. That realization also doomed Romney when the crowd remembered that a Conservative can't get elected in Massachusetts either. Despite the best lip service that money could buy these two RINO's drifted to the back of the pack.

Huckabee's star shone brightly for a day or two but the "Cross is really a bookshelf" ad was the end for him. We already had a Southerner who took instructions from his god and that wasn't really working out that well.

Fred Thompson strolled in at last and seemed to be the one to pick up where Reagan left off. Almost literally straight out of central casting comes Fred, but the lack of a message and the perception of wanting the job without having to work for it wasn't what the 'crowd wanted.

After being counted down but far from out there was lonely John McCain. The guy's campaign was in so much trouble he had to fly coach to events where there was little to no media. Which is a surprise because for McCain, the media has always been on his side. It is where he got the 'Maverick' title. To top it off, the guys a genuine war hero. So what if people confuse 'heroic fighter pilot' with 'cowardly bomber', he was a POW and that counts for something right?

Since McCain was first elected to Congress in 1982, he has 'blazed his own trail', 'carved his path', and whatever other homespun phrase you can think of to denote his 'maverickiness'. He trumpets loudly that he has 'stood up' to his party many times and indeed he has. It is what endeared him to the liberal media and ensured that he got good press for years. His most notable 'Maverick-isms' are the McCain-Feingold-Cochran "campaign reform bill. Much derided by Republicans as 'anti-free speech' in its scope.

Then we have the McCain- Kennedy Immigration Reform Bill. You remember the one from last year that would grant a 'path to citizenship' to illegal aliens? That was a McCain boondoggle that when asked if he would support it as President, he interrupted the reporter several times stating that, "He had gotten the message to secure the borders first." When the reporter asked again if he would support the bill as originally written he said that 'it wouldn't come up period". In other words, he would support it again exactly the same way he did before. After all, he's a maverick. Going against the grain is what mavericks do. And therein lies the dilemma for the Republicrowd.

John McCain's career has been one of going against the grain, even of his own party. He admits to missing out on the Miss Congeniality award all these years. Haha, good one John. Kind of like your POW stories, we never get tired of hearing them. The base of McCain's support has certain expectations from their candidate. they expect him or her to be for smaller government, anti-abortion, against gun control, against amnesty for illegals, for free speech, and a whole host of other issues. And with any other candidate they could more or less count on that candidate to stick to their word. Kind of like Bush the Elder. But more so. For all his talk of being against 'pork' McCain voted for the pork heavy bailout. How's that for Maverick-y?

The Republican base is in for a rude awakening should Johnny McMaverick win the White House because on all the issues near and dear to his heart, he can be counted on to ' go against the grain' and 'reach across the aisle' to vote with the other side. "Sorry about that Republican agenda, I just have to vote against it." He has consistently voted against the Republican's and the base will be sorely disappointed when he votes against them as President. After all, it's what Mavericks do. At every opportunity, he and the 'little woman' are telling the supporters that they will vote against their interests yet they continue to cheer in a manner remiscent of Orwell's 1984-Two Minutes of Hate scene.

No matter who wins this election one sure fact is that the American People will lose but the most disappointed of all will be all those who are pinning their hopes to McCain's America. An America whose Son's and Daughters continue to die in foreign lands for no discernable reason other than to 'win'. Even Johnny can't tell us exactly what would constitute a win but we can trust that he'll know it when he see's it. We can also rest easy knowing that John will bring all those aliens out of the shadow of illegality and into the 'light' of public discourse with a grant of amnesty and finally, rest assured, my friends, the richest among us will continue to trickle their tax cuts down to you and his health care plan will provide you with an umbrella.

FEMA sources confirm coming martial law

FEMA sources confirm coming martial law

Wayne Madsen
Online Journal
Monday, Oct 13, 2008

WMR has learned from knowledgeable Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sources that the Bush administration is putting the final touches on a plan that would see martial law declared in the United States with various scenarios anticipated as triggers. The triggers include a continuing economic collapse with massive social unrest, bank closures resulting in violence against financial institutions, and another fraudulent presidential election that would result in rioting in major cities and campuses around the country.

In addition, Army Corps of Engineer sources report that the assignment of the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) to the Northern Command’s U.S. Army North is to augment FEMA and federal law enforcement in the imposition of traffic controls, crowd control, curfews, enhanced border and port security, and neighborhood patrols in the event a national emergency being declared. The BCT was assigned to duties in Iraq before being assigned to the Northern Command.

On April 3, 2008, WMR reported on a highly-classified document regarding the martial law scenario: WMR has learned from knowledgeable sources within the US financial community that an alarming confidential and limited distribution document is circulating among senior members of Congress and their senior staff members that is warning of a bleak future for the United States if it does not quickly get its financial house in order. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is among those who have reportedly read the document.

The document is being called the “C & R” document because it reportedly states that if the United States defaults on loans and debt underwriting from China, Japan, and Russia, all of which are propping up the United States government financially, and the United States unilaterally cancels the debts, America can expect a war that will have disastrous results for the United States and the world. “Conflict” is the “C word” in the document. The other scenario is that the federal government will be forced to drastically raise taxes in order to pay off debts to foreign countries to the point that the American people will react with a popular revolution against the government. “Revolution” is the document’s “R word.

Empress Moose-alini and the Most Important Election That Doesn't Matter

The so-called right wing of the American electorate is becoming more and more rabid as the thought of their genuine American Hero, John McCain, getting ready to lose in Reagan-whipping-Mondale style. That is to say, by a landslide. That description is being bandied about quite a bit here lately as the economy tanks and McCain supporters shout 'off with his head' at their rallies. If only. My guess is that Obama won't win by a landslide and will be fortunate to be served breakfast in bed on November 5th. His own bed.

Read into it what you will but I am of the opinion that there are two scenarios that are equally likely to happen on the weekend before the election. The most likely in my opinion is that Israel will finally attack Iran on the Saturday before the election, November 1st. Several factors influence my thoughts on this possibility.

Israel has been beating the drum for an attack by someone on Iran for well over a year now. Lately, according to the ever truthful American media, Israel has asked the Americans for permission to attack and supposedly have been turned down due to the American people being wise to the shenanagins of the Zio-Nutsi's.

Israel thinks that the window of opportunity to cripple Iran is closing as Bush's days dwindle away. You see, Israel cannot attack Iran without our approval because the plan is to bomb Iran and then when Iran righteously strikes back, Israel can sit back and allow Americans to spill its blood defending them. Kind of like what happens when your little brother calls the neighborhood bully a name only when you're there to take the beating. None-the-less, Israel feels that McCain will in all likelihood be even more war-mongeringly happy to saddle up for a war on Israel's behalf. Obama, despite having said so, may not automatically be on board with a screamingly unpopular war with Iran. The American people as it is have surged their support right out of the Iraq quagmire and are really not in the mood for another war with a better equipped country than Iraq that really hasn't done anything to us. Not that Iraq did either but the 9-11 jam just won't spread on Iranian bread.

Besides that, Russia ruined the party for the Neo-Zio-Nuts by springing a well planned trap on the Israel of the Caucasus. You see, Israel and the US had supplied mega Billions worth of FedBucks worth of weapons to Saakashvili as a deterrant to the Russian Bear. Probably because the US was trying to fast track Georgia and Ukraine into NATO despite having told Russia in the 90's that they wouldn't do it. All of a sudden Russia looks around and they are surrounded by NATO. With men like Bush/Cheney running around, who wouldn't be a little paranoid about being surrounded? So now we have Saakashvili flush with the best NATO/American weapons, thousands of Israeli tourists spending money, buying land, etc, and he gets the great idea to teach those Ossetians a lesson. He attacks knowing full well that there were Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia but hey, America has my back so damn the torpedoes. Russia almost assuredly had some spies in Tbilisi because almost as soon as the thought leapt out of Saakashvili's mouth the Russians kicked the Mahtzo balls right out of the Georgian Army . To say the Russians were prepared for this is a gross understatement. Georgians were fleeing, Israeli's were fleeing, it was quite a sight to see. Especially when our government got up and started claiming a little too early and loudly that the Russians started it. The dutifuly obeisant media followed along and repeated the line as often as possible. After sifting through that rubble we find snippets that the Israeli's had planned to use Georgia as a staging area for attacking Iran.
Oh my! Scratch that plan. But it goes to show that the will is there for an unprovoked attack on a sovereign country that has done nothing to any of the wannabe aggressors nor to any of it's neighbors. In short, Israel is highly likely to attack Iran in order to boost McCain's chances of winning the election which would then be a green light for continuing the attack for as long as USrael felt it necessary.

The next scenario is a little harder to talk about because I dread even thinking that this could happen but after the last eight years, nothing is impossible or even improbable. Our government can and will do anything it feels necessary in order to further it's or another country's agenda. At times it is hard to define where one country ends and the other begins.

As written earlier, the perception by some is that Obama stands squarely in the way of any attack on Iran. He has repeatedly worn the yarmulke and pledged his unabashed support yet many in the forelocked community still believe he places America's interests before Israel's. And that just won't do. "It's not enough to obey Israel. You must LOVE Israel."

Empress Moose-alini aka Sarah Palin was chosen as a perk-up to the flagging Republican ticket and maybe more because she actually has been genuflecting to The Lobby for quite a while. She's on board with the whole Neo-Zio-Con agenda without all that messy being intelligent stuff to get in the way. I mean she was on her front porch watching Putin 'rear his ugly head' in Georgia waaaay before they picked her to be VP. She has been spouting the lines given her by her handlers with enough verve to actually get the Republicrowds riled up. Maybe a little too riled up. Which is why I fear for Obama. One of these nuts will think he's doing the Lord's work in guaranteeing McCain's election. Farfetched? Recall that Hinckley shot Reagan in an attempt to impress Jodie Foster for crying out loud. Somewhere out there is a nut who took all those winks Palin was throwing him to heart. And 'She'll be so down-hearted if she don't win, I jist cain't let 'er down!"

Either scenario is just as likely to happen the weekend before the election as the other or maybe neither will happen. None of us knows but we all feel that Something will happen. The stock market is fluctuating so wildly that CNBC hosts can't decide on laughing or crying. Cramer should throw himself out of a window just out of embarassment at this point.

In any case we need to all hang on and don't be surprised by anything you see. Arrange your life so that no matter what 'they' do, it won't affect you. The government is controlled by people whose names and faces you'll never know or see. The front man, er, I mean, President, doesn't matter one little bitty bit. Oh yes, no matter what, Israel will get their war on Iran and Empress Moose-alini can be counted on to use her soldier son as a prop for American/Israeli Patriotism.

Slouching Toward Oblivion

Here we are at the beginning of the beginning of the end. What does that mean? The road traveled to where we are now is way too littered with signposts to go over all of them now. I will go back over time and revisit some of those signs but I will be writing with an eye to those who have already done their homework and fully know or suspect how we got here and where we seem to be headed.

Today is Monday, October 13th, 2008 and we have been witness to the outrageous spectacle of the United States government continuing its 'the sky is falling' shtick in regards the economy. Does anyone remember just a few weeks ago Treasury Secretary Paulson coming out and saying that he had to have a whole bunch of money or else the country would fall straight off the face of the Earth? Or words to that effect. At least that is what the several Senators, most notably Dodd, came out and said on CNN. When asked exactly what scenario was given to the Senators in the close door session with Paulson, Dodd, more or less said, "Well, it was scary. So scary that we were all shocked into silence for 10-15 seconds." That's almost a verbatim quote. Another Senator, probably Schumer, said virtually the same thing. Basically telling the American public that the 'truth' was just too much for the Public to bear, but we need to pass this thing!
Lo and behold the House of Representatives voted the first version down. Probably a coordinated attempt to show the people that they are really on our side (snicker, snicker). This was the single digit sized version. And when I looked up, the sky was still there! Amazing. Not to be deterred the Senate stepped up to the plate and showed the House what 'responsibility' looked like and they passed the 100 page version. After some haggling over what would make the bill appear to look out for 'main street', the House finally passed the 450 page version. And the stock market dropped like a stone. Uh-oh, the sky looked a little shaky after the bailout was passed but not so before the bailout/pork bill passed.

Here are a few sure signs that the bailout bill was a farce. Did the government happen to mention that because of our extreme economic conditions the War in Iraq was being called off because we just can't afford it? No, I didn't hear that one either. How about foregoing the Billions of dollars in Financial aid to foreign countries? Did anyone mention that because of our economic pain, those that live off of our largesse will have to feel some pain too? I missed that press conference too.

Just like with 9-11 you don't have to listen to what the government is saying, listen to what they are not saying. After 9-11 you would think the government would have immediately shut down the borders. They didn't do that though. I guess to do so would be un-American. The easiest 'solution' to hijacking would have been to arm the pilots but I guess people that are entrusted with hundreds of lives and several tons of flying metal just can't be trusted to wield an actual firearm. No, in the governments view it is far easier to strip-search little old ladies and fund another branch of government bureaucracy than to equip a couple hundred pilots with a dangerous firearm.

So what does that mean to you and me and the rest of the public? No one knows for sure of course but I have a really bad feeling that it is not good. And I don't mean that in a generic way. I mean 'not good' as in America could really be on the way out as a going concern. For sure we'll wake up twenty years from now and the land mass will still be referred to as America or maybe even the USA, but as a Freedom loving, American Dream kind of place, mmm, well maybe not so much.

The government is up to something and many believe it is in the final stages of enacting the North American Union thereby bringing in the Amero to replace the dollar. This scenario seems to be an easy call. Many bring up the FEMA camps built or being built around the country and that too seems to be an easy call at this point. Whatever the situation ends up being I started this blog to ask you, my fellow Americans, what are you gonna do when they come for you? Will you fight or just be relieved that someone is finally coming to 'take care' of you. No more headaches Comrade, the government will take care of all your needs. Just submit to their authority like the Bible tells you to in Romans 13 and 'you'll be fine'!

No one can answer that question for you but I urge you to reach down inside and ask yourself that question. Look at your children and ask yourself if you could live with yourself knowing that when the time came, you didn't do anything to keep your children from the yoke of slavery. Make no mistake, we are already living as slaves when the government has the final say about how much you must pay in tribute/taxes and how those taxes will be used without your say-so or approval. You do not matter. You are inconsequential in the big scheme of things. The government is and has been busy deciding you and your children's futures. The only problem arises when you finally realize that you might not like the future. By the time you think to protest it will be too late and the only recourse will be death or slavery without complaint.

Some famous quotes to speed you along in your decision;

"I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees"- attributed to Emilio Zapata

"It is not enough to obey our leader. You must love him."-O'Brien in George Orwell's book '1984'
